2017年正值“罗布淘金之路”160周年之际,澳华社区议会(CCCA)将举办一系列不同形式的活动,邀请在澳华人来追溯这一段首批来澳华裔先侨的艰辛历史,同时弘扬华人在澳洲多元文化社会中做出的重要贡献。2017年三月八日,“罗布之行”的160周年系列活动媒体发布会于维多利亚州国会大厦举行。特别来宾包括前维州多元文化委员会主席陈振亮先生,维州多元文化部长Hon. Robin Scott先生和维州多元文化影子部长Inga Peulich女士。

纪念澳洲华人罗布之行160周年

今天下午在维洲议会举行了纪念华人罗布之行160周年系列活动媒体发布会。维州多元文化部部长Hon.Robin Scott等参加了发布会。

澳洲华人约占澳洲总人口的4.5%,已经超过120万人。但华人移民澳洲可不是最近几年的事情,早在160多年前就有华人来澳洲定居。根据比较早的历史记载:1850年当澳大利亚的维洲发现金矿后,正处于战火中的成千上万的中国人涌向维洲,加入淘金行列。

六月十六日下午,正值歡慶中國傳統的端午節期間,墨爾本市中心聯邦廣場著名的滿江紅中餐廳里高朋滿座,由澳華全國婦女會和澳華社區議會維州分會聯合舉辦的2013年跨文化端午節茶話會正在熱烈地舉行。本次會議突破了以往華人論壇的傳統習慣,改為由包括華裔社團和其他少數民族社團在一起發表演講和討論的新模式,不同背景、不同文化,不同信仰的多民族與會者在一起就大家關心的涉及婦女、家庭、老年等諸問題進行了深入的探討和介紹。是一次別開生面的跨文化聚會。
