The ‘From Robe to Chinese Fortunes’ exhibition will be held from August 2017 to March 2018.
It shares the stories of early Chinese migrants seeking a better life in the Victorian gold-rush from 1851 to 1901 and honors their heroic courage, tenacity, bravery, sacrifice, suffering and resilience.
Organised by the Chinese Community Council of Australia Victoria Chapter (CCCAV) and the Museum of Australian Democracy at Eureka (MADE), the exhibition marks the final highlight of CCCAV’s ‘160th Anniversary Commemoration of the Walk from Robe’ project in 2017.
